The banana gives you potassium (for focus), tryptophan (for good mood) and pectin (for digestion). Bananas contains three different kinds of sugar. Glucose and fructose are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream, so they’ll give you an energy boost fast. Sucrose on the other hand, acts more slowly, so it keeps your blood sugar level stable and ensures you don’t suffer the crash that comes with other sweet treats like candy and soda. You could simply blend it into a smoothie and serve your guests.

Tea contains the amino acid theanine, which may improve attention and alertness. Of all brewed teas, black teas, made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, generally provide the most energy-boosting caffeine.
